Laiba Javed from IEEE UET Taxila Student Branch received "WIE Outstanding Student Volunteer Award" in recognition of leadership and contributions to Student Branch WIE activities in IEEE Islamabad Section. The IEEE Islamabad Section won the Region 10 "Outstanding Medium Section" recognition award for 2015-16. The Islamabad Section has a Joint Chapter of Control Society with IEEE Karachi Section. Peshawar sub-section is also there in the map of IEEE in Pakistan. The Sections are in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. The Islamabad Section is one of the three Sections of Pakistan.
